The Montecito Inn is unique among Santa Barbara landmarks. Built in 1928 by cimema legend Charlie Chaplin, the Inn was originally meant as an escape to paradise for Mr. Chaplin's closest friends. The Montecito Inn, 90 miles north of Los Angeles, 350 miles south of San Francisco and four miles east of downtown Santa Barbara, is located at 1295 Coast Village Road, just two blocks from beautiful sandy beaches. By car, exit Olive Mill Road in Montecito from U.S. 101; the Inn is on the corner of Coast Village and Olive Mill Roads. Major and regional airline service and Amtrak service is available.
