Completely rebuilt in 1998 by the Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group and re-opened as the HOTEL MONACO CHICAGO. French Deco-inspired design by award -winning interior designer Cheryl Rowley yields a sensually rich d+cor; all suites with 2-person whirlpool spas. Guest rooms in warm colors of pistachio green and butter yellow with highly detailed furnishings including rich mahogany writing desk and armoire, and oversized diamond-patterned quilted headboard in lipstick red. Take I-90/94 (Dan Ryan Expressway) west to the downtown Chicago area. Exit at Ohio East. Take Ohio East to Michigan Avenue. Turn right (South) on Michigan Avenue to Wacker Drive. Turn right on Wacker to Wabash (1st stop light). Turn left on Wabash. Hotel Monaco is on the left.

*FROM THE WEST:
Take I-290 (Eisenhower Expressway) east to Michigan Avenue. Turn left on Michigan Avenue to S. Water. Turn left on S. Water to Wabash. Turn left on Wabash. Hotel Monaco is on the left.

*FROM THE SOUTHWEST AND MIDWAY AIRPORT:
Take I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) to the Lake Shore Drive North Exit. Take Lake Shore Drive North to Wacker Drive. Exit Wacker Drive and follow Wacker as it runs parallel to the Chicago River. At Wabash turn left and the Hotel Monaco is on the left.
